About me
Gorka López, 1978. Industrial engineer, father of two, landscape photographer during free time, weekend warrior.
My love for nature and outdoors led me to landscape photography in 2007 when I bought my first dSLR. From that very moment I got instantly hooked and photography turned into a true passion that has grown exponentially over the years.
Self-taught, I started reading everything about photography I could get my hands on, and soon I discovered that the learning curve of this art form is endless. And this is exactly the most engaging aspect of landscape photography: the continuous challenge! There is no excuse for not trying always to improve your work and become a better photographer.
During the last few years I've had my pictures published in many printed magazines, won a few international photo contests and taught some workshops, but what really thrills me are all the experiences that come along with this passion: exploring new places, being out in the wilderness, the special moments I get to witness, the people I meet... without these things I would never have begun taking pictures.
